Joe Draegert Paintings and Drawings

Free Admission!

Born in Chariton, Iowa, Joe Draegert received his BFA from Kansas City Art Institute and his MFA from UC Davis.  A recipient of numerous awards, including a full fellowship to Yale and the Rome Prize in Painting at the American Academy in Rome, Draegert taught art at Shasta College for 10 years during the 1970's and 80's.  His work is in the collections of the Museum of Modern Art in San Francisco, the Oakland Museum and the Crocker Museum in Sacramento. The Shasta College exhibit will feature paintings, drawings and watercolors. Free Artist Reception for Draegert on Jan. 29, 6:00-8:00 p.m., as part of Redding’s annual Cultural Cruise Event.
